How to prepare for your braid appointment

A little prep the night before makes your appointment smoother, faster, and easier on your scalp. Here is the short list.

Wash and blow dry

Come with clean, detangled, blown-out hair unless you booked a wash with us. Clean hair grips better and lasts longer. Matted or damp hair may need a wash-and-prep add-on or a reschedule.

Sort your hair ahead of time

If you are bringing your own braiding hair, we tell you how many packs to buy when you book. Bring it with you. If you want us to supply it, that is arranged in advance too.

Plan your day

Braiding takes real time — anywhere from 90 minutes to six hours depending on the style and length. Check the time on the braid menu, eat before you come, and bring a charger. You get the whole chair to yourself.

Know the deposit and timing

A 20% Zelle deposit confirms your spot. Please arrive on time — more than 45 minutes late and the booking is released. Need to move it? Just give us 24 hours. Book your appointment here.
